New idea: Mask-brush

My idea is, that you have a mask-brush (like in blender) and when you want to deform terrain there it is not possible.

Another feature could be, that you can select road-segments and assign "mask-area" close to the selected road.
If you want to decorate the track after this, you can prevent deforming under the road or getting road bumpy.

Hmm good idea.
Some toggle (eg. using enter key) that enables/disables omitting road when deforming. Would be useful.
But sounds complicated to implement.
Needs the same logic that Align terrain to road tool has. Creating a terrain map from road segments, but for those on terrain.

if this is very difficult to implement, there would be a second option (it's not so good as a mask)

then it could be a checkbox you can activate and then deforming close to road would not be possible (without using a mask-feature)
(the difference is, that you don't have a visible mask-area close to road), but it would be better to have such a feature.

I don’t really know what both of you are talking about. xD

it was a bad idea with the second option, because it is not really a second option, it is more like a mask, so this is not so important anymore.
