Why is driving so slippery?

Why is driving so slippery?

Postby Danfun64 » 22 Jun 2016, 18:54

I got interested in Stunt Rally and played it for the first time yesterday. My question is... why is driving so slippery? It feels like I'm on ice when I'm not on ice. Of course, when I actually am on ice, it gets even more ridiculous.

How do I make driving less slippery, if possible?

I read that... is rally driving slippery in real life? It seems odd to me...

Basically, yes. Muddy or powdery or gravelly or grassy surfaces and spinning wheels make for little grip. It's all about timing the turn well before the corner so you slide around.

I can't vouch for how accurate Stunt Rally is in this regard, but from what I know it doesn't seem to be far off the mark.

If you want a more traditional racing experience then I suggest you try Speed Dreams or VDrift (which Stunt Rally is forked from).

Stunt Rally is mainly a rally game, and yes, it needs to be slippery. This is fully intentional. There are a few tracks with asphalt, too, but most of them are not.
