Hi jahalic,
Sorry for the late answer.
what is the simplest way to get an up-to-date version of the game?
The simplest way to get that is to compile it from source. You can find it here (instructions in the README):
https://github.com/Bertram25/ValyriaTear(Unfortunately, I don't have the time to add nightly builds atm, so I don't have the full non-tech savvy solution yet. ;])
On the other hand, the story, even in the dev version, has been purposely been stopped after the Harlequin boss as I am designing/scripting the Episode I final dungeon atm.
I am half-way done, and I expect to be fully finished within two months now, (It's only an expectation, though.) I hope to be able to unlock that last part before that so you all can test and enjoy it, and hopefully report bugs to me before we go to full release.
Also, what would you recommend for a fast way to do linguistic testing?
If by that, you mean attest the sentences are going well with their context, I'd say, having a save with overpowered characters would permit you to advance quickly to one story point.
If you know at which story point, you want to start, can give you a save for that.
I have been updating the Spanish PO file to correct UI issues and what not. Let me know.
I you have fixes, feel free to upload the file here, if you want to. I'll push it.
Best regards,
