Can't see the characters

first of all, please excuse my grammar. English is not my first language.
I've got what I'd consider a major gameplay problem - I can't see the characters. It starts in the profile menu, where I can't see anything but my gun in the "Preview" window. Worse is, I can't even see the characters in the game. Basically, the only way for me to know where to shoot are the names of enemies...
