Not Becoming Moderator

Postby SKY » 08 Sep 2012, 13:25

I type in /servertype 1 and then /lanconnect and when the game starts I can't change anything because the game says that I wasn't a moderator. So I try using the /setmaster 1 command to see if it will work but it still doesn't.By the way I didn't run the batch file because I'm on a standard user account. Can someone please help me this is so anoying :x :!:

You can use the .bat file on a standard user account. Install the game outside Program Files (eg. C:\Games\Red_Eclipse).
If you want to setup a server easily:
- start a local game on any map/mode
- type /adminpass "admin password here"
- do /setpriv "admin password here"
- then /servertype 1 (or /servertype 2 if you want it to appear on server list; you have to forward ports properly to do so though).

Don't use /lanconnect on the game that is the host and admin. Only do that on the other computers which are connecting to it.
