Several Bugs in New Release (fixed)

I'm really excited about the new release! However, there are some minor issues I've encountered:

First of all: what happened to "/setmaster"? Is there a new command for it?

Second, the water is really buggy. It usually doesn't render at all, but if I get close enough and look at the right angle, it completely glitches out with weird patchy reflections.

Is there any way to get this back to normal like it was in 1.2?

Third: any weapon with negative kickpush now instantly kills you and makes you into a "ghost" (you can't see your arms or shoot in first-person) for the rest of the game.

Fourth, I think this was in 1.2 also, but there is no "textures/conopen" texture. Whenever I try to chat, it always spams me with this message. This should be easy to fix, though.

Also, how does /vcoastscale work? Neither of the 3 arguments seem to change anything.

By the way, this doesn't seem to have any negative effects, but whenever I start a server, it tells me "master server reply: server registered, sending ping request". Does this mean anything?

Sounds like either your PC hardware or your RE install is bad. I haven't really tested 1.3.1 extensively but I don't have those issues as far as I know.

1.Cut and paste the RE folder in your My Documents / My Games onto your desktop, after you do the next instruction paste it back in there before launching

2.Try removing the RE folder in your Programs folder that you are using and doing a fresh install from 1.3 full install, then patch with the 1.3.1 patch.

3. Launch after finishing the above steps properly, then test.

If you keep getting graphic corruption/artifacts it could be your PC Hardware that is either 1. going bad or 2. overheating/malfunctioning - update drivers - check hardware for heat, blow dust out of PC/laptop with compressed air, etc.

P.S. When you start a server and see that message it means your server is "live" and showing in the master server list within the game.

{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
/setpriv 1

/setmaster is now an alias.

This was renamed prior to 1.2, likely an issue with you install/user data

Works for me offline, I tested setting shotgunkickpush1 and pistolkickpush1 to -10000.0, it does make you glitch out of map occasionally, but seeing the crazy acceleration it I'm not particularly surprised.

Thanks a lot for the help!

pskosinski {l Wrote}:setmaster was replaced by setpriv but then quin added setmaster as "alias" for setpriv, so both commands should let you gain privileges. And for me works. Anyway, try setpriv.
When comes to disappearing water, try if unchecking water refraction in options help. ^^ I had this problem on Intel HDG 3000 and eihrul fixed it, maybe not in 100%, no idea.

Thanks for the advice. I still have no idea why the water is glitching like it is with refract on, but at least now I can fix it. I tried reinstalling, but there was no change, and everything else seems to be working fine.

I did a bit of research with the variables and I found out that the sword's collide was set to "hit owner". (I was using a lunge attack for the altweap). So that simplifies things a bit.

Anyway, the major bugs here are fixed. The only thing that doesn't work is /vcoastscale, and that's a brand new feature so it's no big deal.
