Red Eclipse 1.3.1 Won't Start Up

I downloaded Red Eclipse 1.3.1 today in hopes of playing but instead I get this message:

"reclient.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I had Red Eclipses last patch and it worked perfectly fine. For some reason it's only 1.3.1. Thanks in advance for help.

Some more information might help. What operating system? What hardware have you got? Are you on 32 bit or 64 bit?

Windows XP 32-Bit Home Edition.
I can run Cube 2: Sauerbraten but not Red Eclipse 1.3.1.

I can run Cube 2: Sauerbraten but not Red Eclipse 1.3.1.

Make sure to run the 32bit exe, 1.3.1 introduced a 64bit exe that won't work on your 32bit operating system.

Also make sure to setup the compatibility on the shortcut/exe.

Can you go "Start -> Run" and enter "cmd.exe" then type "set" and show me the values printed out there? Specifically: "PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE"
