Failing to Resolve...

Howdy, folks. Today, I've been unable to collect the master-list of servers from play.redeclipse.net, and consequently can't play online at the moment. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a client-side thing and check in with other players; are you having trouble connecting as well?

Is there a way to check how many people play on a server? Something quicker than connecting to it, I mean.
And, until the master server is down, more server IP's would be appreciated (at least by me)

I noticed this yesterday, and redeclipse.net doesn't resolve either - so the main RE site is down too. Good thing this forum isn't on that domain.

I emailed the whois techincal contact for the domain (qreeves) yesterday about it.
Thanks for the server ip Kitsune! I couldn't get it to connect though. I'll try a little later.

It has been suggested (and likely to be implemented in the coming version [patience...]), that a list with all currently seen IPs are written out to file, and in case the masterserver is down for any reason, the game will still list the servers which it saw the last time it got data from the masterserver.

That would be good, especially if it records some of the last features of the server like mod percentage.

Luckily the servers don't use IPv6

Thanks for the IP, I too had problems connecting to the master server.

Additionally to that, a "Favorite servers" menu could also be useful to have.

A Favorites Menu wouldn't be that hard to code, I'll add that to my todo list and see what I can come up with.
