Updated with a third version. Contains two fish of different sizes and colors. Each follows a different path. Fishes now move at a constant speed.

To make the fishes available as map models, type "exec models/fishes/package.cfg."

They should now be spawnable as map models.

give it ragdoll physics + make it a bot = fish murder :D

Would be cool to see what other kind of models and animations you could import in John

Who cares about a fish? Bring in the sharks. And the gun-wielding octopi.

Between this and that new memory mini-game, RE is going to become some kind of game suite. RE main + minigames.

The MarineLife2 version now follows a motion path, so it actually looks like it is swimming around.

Great, we have the opportunity to build up our own room with a fish tank inside. Or I could place some fish as an easteregg in a secret place of my last map :) . To be seriously: I like such seemingly needless things. Keep it up ;).

How do we spawn it? Is it a mapmodel?

Yes, the fish is a map model. Updated with a third version with fixes to smooth the animation.

Tested it and its very nice. This can give more life to the maps in my opinion and should be included with the oficial release =p

I like the idea. You could create more skins (red, purple, blue fishes at least).

The question that needs to be asked is "can I play as the fish?"

I floundered around at school looking for some boney fish but only found this filleted md3 which you can net here:
http://teamxbow.org/cube/models/animated_md2_md3/fish_idle.zip I don't know the original artist, alledged to be one John Dorey, but I decided not to pike it, and made 2 variations and some roughey skins, it has one nice idle animation and is not at all flakey. I don't want this catch made public, nor put up at quad because Suicizer would carp about the licence. There is a readme file, which should have you breaming with confidence, and give you a ray of hope.
