A simple, fairly easy to use, master menu. You can bring it up by pressing L.Image |
DownloadLicense: CC BY-SA 4.0Installation instructions: put "mastermenu.cfg" and "autoexec.cfg" in your Red Eclipse personal data folder.
- Windows:
My Documents\My Games\Red Eclipse- OS X:
~/Library/Application Support/redeclipse- GNU/Linux:
~/.redeclipseThen run the game and press
L to open it.

Nice! One for mods too? <3
This would be great in 1.4, along with SES's gui menu.

Oh and P.S, the location for autoexec.cfg on Mac is in Home/Library/Application Support/redeclipse
Practically everything else of value, including maps and textures, are all inside the RE tarball on a Mac; I didn't see a mastermenu.cfg, so I assume that's something you are adding in, and it should go with the autoexec file.

You can use it with moderator status too - I could add auth buttons but these are pointless IMO, considering 95% of players don't have auth.

It would be nice if there was a way to store multiple passwords with a user friendly alias for each password, so you would select a button "frogteam servers" and it would automatically fill in the password "1d10t".

Yeah, Red Eclipse on Mac OSX behaves like every other platform for the most part: there is no launcher like Sauerbraten.

Thanks for this, Calinou, I find it very helpful.
If you don't mind, I would like to paste my modifications here.
EDIT: Moved to another topic as the functionality and the differences to Calinous compact layout became significant.
