Mod idea: charge-shot basketball?

I thought we could have guns shoot basketballs that you charge up to fire? I googled: "blender 3D free basketball model" and there are alot for basketball it lools like... Here is a stadium: http://nextwavemultimedia.com/blog/3d-a ... l-stadium/ maybe people could shoot the backboard?

I don't think Blender things can be imported as maps, so a map will have to be created for it, but technically a basketball station should be quite possible. I'm not sure about the charge-shooting, but if you play bomber ball with the basket mutator enabled you could aim at the "backboard" (I have no clue how those things behind the baskets are named, so I'll just use your term) to make it fall in the basket (due to the bomber ball handling collision correctly).

That is possible to import a blender models in sauer like geometry and after to RE .But this a hard to optimize model for it . Also we have a stadium (old and bad map by me, but this map work for basket mutator) now .

Wazubaba was also working on a basketball-styled map for Instagib-Ballistic-Basket Bomber-Ball. Map was called Eclipse_Ball or E_B, but it was more catered towards Medieval IBB because there are no obstacles. But anyway, because this is Red Eclipse, we all thought that the best way to make a basketball map is to style it in a futuristic way, you know, so it fits between other maps and it doesn't just stick out like a mod. Because I thought that would be cool to have a map that looked like an actual basket ball court but it probably wouldn't look right.

You could take a look at what the "deathball" mod for UT2K4 did.
