Suggestion - Wider range of weapons

Postby ccenturionnMC » 03 Sep 2013, 16:15

Red Eclipse is a great game but the thing that bothers me is the limited weapons. I know this might be how you want it but having a wide selection of weapons might make give the game a goal that people can work towards i.e. collecting all the weapons. I don't mean different types of guns I mean variations of a gun such as the rifle. A suggestion as in the way people can earn the weapons would be something like earning and achievement like 100 kills or 5 kills in 30 seconds. I understand it will take a long time if it is added.

It is my understanding that Red Eclipse aims to be casual arena shooter with highly customizable game variables. In this spirit, you have much freedom to create your own weapon variations and experiment with them either offline or on servers with an appropriate description and motd. The core mechanics of the official game, however, benefit from their simplicity. I have the impression that this was also a reason for the decision to remove campaign mode.

I would preffer more skins, as weapon modelling isnt the fastest thing to do.

Modularized weapons with a certain ruleset to make that balanced in multi-player would be awesome. But it has been discussed before and Quin said he thought about it before, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble... so maybe someone could make a mutator or something like that?
