In this topic, we make up Steam/Xbox Live-style achievements for Red Eclipse.

I'll start:

REing On Hard Mode (30 points)
Win a Free-For-All Deathmatch with 6 or more players using just the pistol and your legs
Max Payne of DOOM would have achieved this if it weren't for me in a game today. It provided the inspiration for this topic.

There is no 'I' in 'Team'? (20 points)
Win a game of Defend the Flag as the sole player on your team against a team of 2 or more players

That Fresh Clean Evropi™ Feel (50 points)
Win 10 consecutive duels against 4 or more players

Kung Fu Spiderman (20 points)
Get 10 melee kills (not sword) on Ubik in one game

Electric Boogaloo (10 points)
Kill 2 or more players with a single plasma bubble

Master of Midair Kills (20 points)
Kill a player with the Rifle while you are on the ground and they are jumping across the chasm in Ghost


And now for some 'fun' achievements, because every good game has fun achievements:


Going Out With a Bang (1 point)
Have your corpse land on a jump pad

Calinou Skills (1 point)
Unlock full-auto mode for the pistol

<TheLastProject> I am really tired today (1 point)
Gain a triple kill on your teammates with the flamer

Hopeless: Suicide more than five times in one game.

Instawhore (-9001 pts)
Play more than 10 games of insta Ghost/Echo/Dutility in one day

Holy Sh*t (25 pts)
Kill an enemy flag carrier and return your flag when the flag carrier is inches away from his flag (Classic quake sound effect/achievement)

Katniss (45 pts)
Survive all rounds of a ffa-survivor match

Back For More (20 pts)
Pick up the rocket every time it spawns in ffa

BOOM SHAKALAKA (30 pts)
Two multi-kills or more in a row with rocket

Goin' Ballistic (9001 pts)
Win an insta game using only grenade kills

Someone lost their Head! (30g)
Kick someone in the face.

Revenge is best served cold (10g)
Kill the person that is dominating you.

Is that a secret?(20g)
Find the secret tv in the map Processing.

What a mess!(40g)
In the roof of the Quin building in Ubik, jump,get the rocket and make an double-kill while in the air.

Ruler of the Skies(35 pts): get at least 5 air-to-air (jumppads, that is) kills in a match on Ghost or Cutec, or 10 air-to-air kills across the chasm in oneiroi (haven't played that map in ages)

Bomber Brigade(20 pts): make 4 scores in Bomber-Ball that involve at least 4 passes (with no interceptions)

Dude, I Think There's Something On Your Face(5 pts): win a round of Survivor with a mine stuck to you

I Have No Clue How To Do This But It Would Be Impressive(40 pts): kick 2 people before landing. (slide afterwards counts)

The Prodictivity Award(400 pts): make a nice-looking, playable map entirely in an open coopedit server (without kicking anyone except known griefers, a limit of 3 "reasonable doubt" cases)

Frag the Developer(10 pts): Frag Quin at least once. (Teamkills/typekills don't count)

Alternate and equally cheesy name for this achievement:
C-C-C-Combo Breaker!

Where we're going, we don't need floors.
Spend at least 10 seconds without touching a floor at any point in the timespan. Bonus points if you don't use a teleporter or jump pad. Cannot be acquired on servers with heavily modified variables.

Look ma, no hands!
Wallrun for at least 3 seconds.
(This is intended as a "beginner" achievement, to encourage new players to try out more esoteric movement modes.)

What do you mean, you don't want a hug!?
Deploy a mine on yourself, then successfully kill an enemy with it.

Spruce Goose(5 points)
With the jetpack mutator on, the player has never used the jetpack for more than half a second at a time and has killed 3 players who have.

I'm not good on names, but heres some ideas:

Deathmatch:
Stick a grenade to an enemy and get a double-kill.
Kill 2 enemies with melee in the same jump.
Kill 2 players with a single rifle shot.
Get a multi-kill with the rocket.
frag an enemy from 150 meters.
Finish an opponent with a single pistol bullet.
Kill an opponent while both of you are under-water.
Stick a laser-activated mine to an opponent.

Time-trial / Gauntlet:
Complete a lap of _map_ in under X seconds.

Bomber-ball:
Score a goal from at least 80 meters.

Bomber-ball Hold:
Keep the bomb for an entire minute.

CTF:
Capture the enemy flag while carrying your own.

CTF multi:
Carry every flag in the arena at the same time.

another thing is trying to win a 1vs2 ctf game I tried but lost 6-3 but I might have won one before, it can be hard and fun

Here's a few, just jokes, mostly. Feel free to modify.

The Quintux
~ Parkour fail and fall to your death at least three times a game.

Portal
~ Go into all the teleporters in a map at least twice.

Asking for It
~ Have both your team's flag and the opponent team's flag in a CTF match and carry them together for at least 1 minute. Can you survive the chase?
(A spin off of unix's CTF and CTF multi, thought of the idea then realized it was mostly taken.)

Fruit Ninja
~ Win a non-medieval deathmatch using only the sword and melee moves.

TNT Dynamite!
~ Carry two grenades, two mines and the rocket all at once.
(Hidden song reference, BTW)

"Sleeping on the Job, Super Saiyan?"
~ Stay in the same position for 30 seconds.

That's all I have, but I also think we could do something with the grunts and turrets, like "destroy all turrets" or something like that. There's also the rather common accidental double-homicide, where two players kill each other at the same time.

Only possible if Quin played very, very often. Maybe that can be expanded to other devs, clan leaders, etc?

I always thought that idea should have had more merit to it. +1

Funny coincidence, the other day while playing I was wondering how a "profiles" thing for RE players would look like, and that's sort of returned here, with personalized achievements.

Haha man, I had some good laughs with the proposed achievments, this would be very cool! Hopefully we'll really see this in v1.5!

Why not some negative achievements for stuff like using the flamer and chat/team killing, rage quitting, spamming, insulting people a lot....

I think even if it would take down your point count that you achieved by the regular achievements, these punishments could be a challenge for troll to go for. There are RE trolls on a regular basis, let's not try to lure them.

Surely I can come up with a few.

Open Wide!
Hit somebody in the head with a rocket

Show Off
Kick somebody and then kill them with a headshot before hitting the ground.

Great Balls of Fire!
Get a double kill with flamer secondary fire.

Just A Flesh Wound
Cut someone's head off with a sword.

Purist
Get kills with only one weapon for the entire match.

Beyond Zero Sum
Get a multi kill by grenade kamikaze.
