why bother playing if its so easy and you are 20-30 frags ahead of everyone?
who in their right mind believes that you are winning without some hack?
unless you come out and say "i play 20 hours a day and i'm 13 years old" then
guess what, nobody believes it's just skill, NOBODY
and srsly, when i hear people say "i don't use radar" i just wanna
scream, NOBODY CARES!!!! stop boasting about nonsense, it makes
you look more suspicious, just play and more importantly, play fair or gtfo
have a nice day

Do I sense some frustration there Archy?
I know what you mean, sometimes there are players who have almost twice the amounts of frags / points than the n° 2 on the scoreboard. There are a few players who are really good, and if you suspect someone of cheating or using hacks, there really isn't much more that you can do then get the demo, take a close look at it and if necessary report it. We can only try to get the rotten apples out of the basket... I guess this will always be a problem, in every game.
However, when I find myself pwned by another guy, it motivates me to take him back, look for him in the game and try even harder to kill him, so sometimes it can give you a boost and take you to a higher level for a moment.

Just stay calm and enjoy the game...

Clearly the most descriptive title that could have possibly been used for this post.
Anyway, at least it's not Counter-Strike. Kicking players on the suspicion of cheating is almost always worse because it's usually players that are either legitimately good, or just very lucky on the day! Luckily, you can usually confirm with demos. And hey, I know all the maps off by heart so I barely use the radar at all myself. :P

Vague title: Check
Content which talks about an unclear issue: Check
Lack of solution: Check
Lack of invitation to discussion: Check
And yet, it seems our community does respond to something more formatted as a short blog post than a forum post :P

Under other circumstances I'd probably look for amusing videos and .gifs to post, but hacking and/or elitism is a pretty serious problem. I guess the best defense abainst bragging is to not to take it too seriously; people do well for a while, they become a bit proud and boastful, it happens.
As for hacking, we should keep on guard and watch for anything suspicious (demos will come in handy), but we might also be able to make some 'false positives' on torrent sites and the like. It would be really easy to make a script that gives you a legitimate-sounding error message about not having the right libraries while your IP gets reported to Quin, post the script as "super hax aimbot" and give it positive/mixed reviews from fake users.

Evropi {l Wrote}:or just very lucky on the day
agreed, I'm pretty bi-polar when it comes to playing, I'm either really good or constantly on the bottom of the scoreboard.
Architect {l Wrote}:just play and more importantly, play fair or gtfo
This is always kind of like what I thought about the entire rifle-splash exploit from 1.3.
