Abusing of moderator-rights. [JayJay]

Hi.
I have a problem. I think you all know "JayJay" he is a Moderator and my ex-clan leader.
Yesterday at the 22.01.2013 [European way to write date], he was on my Server. Called Anaki's Server.
I was mad of his clan eX, cause MelvinSour/Jack >King< joined them. Blablabla. . . I should get to the topic.
I muted him. Absolutally not more. Than he said over his Nickname that i should unmute him. I did. Nearly 12 times. I will show you in the logs. Than he insults me.
I mean Mod's are not holy, i just muted him. Hmm... But i wouldnt here if he just insults me. The point is, he tryed to ban me. I mean, im not shure, i think that would not work. Im Admin and Owner of the Server ^^. But he abuse his moderator rights. He havnt permission to ban me without a warning from my own server, just because i muted him. By the way: He typed in wrong clientnumber and banned Jack >King<. Of course i unbaned him immediately. After i asked him, why he did that, he said he tryed to ban me cuase i muted him without a reason...

Logs:
http://pastebin.com/qTKzDUnT
There is all you need.

So he havnt permissions to ban me without warning like i say. But what now? I need you help ;D
Greetings, Anaki

Reading through the logs, the whole thing is quite funny (especially when wazubaba goes in and leaves quite quickly) if you're not involved with any clan... and know German ;) (as well as Spanish, but that's later). Of course, those of you who look closely can see the impact of the "drama" on the server size in regards to player count.

But anyways: you may wish to check this (http://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=2798) out and see if any rules on there seem to be violated.

In general, this does expose an issue with the hierarchy of server owner vs. global auth, along with a lotta clan-hatin stuff. Honestly, your behavior was considerably aggressive, I can see to a point why JayJay attempted to ban you. Anger and impulsive action only lead to more shit like this. Maybe there needs to be some kind of code of conduct for anybody using a public server, along with recruiting guidelines on servers and elsewhere. More rules are always a problem, but they're made to prevent conflicts like this.

To borrow from the logs:
<ballist1c [eX]> we need to get this sorted out asap

I came in rather late to the situation, and I frankly didn't care much what Anaki was saying - until he started talking about abuse of auth. Check the link quintux provided to see if JayJay violated any of our rules, and then you can judge for yourself. Unfortunately, BLAZE server admins tend to be rude and antagonistic towards auths. I thought Anaki was all right until this happened, though.

And yes, a lot of this has to do with clans. I know people can laugh at them, but clans are their own little community and people can get very protective. JayJay and I recently merged clans into eX, and some people from BLAZE switched over, Jack included. This undoubtedly "rattled their cage" somewhat, but there was no reason for the immature way Anaki behaved.

This is a synopsis here:

<*warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]> I also have permission to kick JayJay if he dont activate his auth
(AFAIK, this is completely untrue. We can auth whenever we choose to.)
...
<* warm up * Anaki [BLAZE]> you can mute mods?
<JayJay [Ex_Pro]> serious clan drama :/
mute added on JayJay [Ex_Pro] by *warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]
...
<Elwe> well, i left re for A day. Return and there is a new clan, anaky is angry whit that clan and I think there is a great mess. Can someone update me please? Thx
mute added on Elwe by *warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]
<*warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]> Elwe i rage-muted you.
...
<JayJay [Ex_Pro]> Euler change tag to
mute added on JayJay [Ex_Pro] by *warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]
<*warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]> haha

Jay's ban. This is likely to have been a mistake, as Jack was not talking in chat for a while:
ban added on jack>KING<[Ex_Pro] by JayJay [Ex_Pro]
jack>KING<[Ex_Pro] (190.167.95.105) has left the game (address is banned, 12 players)

To sum up...

<*warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]> I remove
<Rachel> I hear the voice of a dictator
<Rachel> haha
<eX_ Euler> haha
mute added on Rachel by *warm up* Anaki [BLAZE]

rest my case here

I have no idea what happened, but ballist1c's post really really reminds me of this:

sweet sweet can.

No offense, just made me laugh.

absoulte power corrputs, absoultely
Im not really a fan of global moderation for the reason you see here. If the moderator has the kind of power to cause trouble for no other reason than a clan beef, then the whole system becomes suspect.
I can tell you from experiance that as a server admin that you pick your other admins very carfully indeed.
you can ignore me and probably will, but back in 2003, when enemy territory was new, there was something on the order of 3000 et servers running, I was only in charge of one, this sort of thing happened on a daily basis somewhere.

Well that's the thing isn't it, if all the children didn't waste my time (which would be better spent actually making the game), then this wouldn't even be necessary. I am sick and fucking tired of being asked to settle these stupid disputes and then having someone cause me PERSONAL TROUBLE because they didn't like how I resolved it. It is either this, or I discontinue RE and find a game genre that is devoid of teenage males who like nothing more than to troll. It is not my job to babysit you all.

I agree with Quin, these people needs to end those things in the game, not in the forum;
Also, do not discontinue RE please. Just ignore the trolls.

There is no such thing, so get back to work on RE and stop dreaming!

I speak in complete honesty when I say that the Red Eclipse community is more mature than most brony communities. Sure, there is drama here, but in most brony communities drama will hit you in the face, push you to the ground and keep kicking you while you're lying down. In here, it generally doesn't become that extreme.

Indeed. I'm just glad that this isn't the type of place that would explode into a flamewar whenever pony is mentioned.
Still, we should let sleeping dogs lie.
