While it's kind of interesting to see old maps in a new light, I'm sorry to say I'm not terribly impressed with this combination...

I hope I don't offend you too much, but your texture-work is arbitrary, the map as a whole is convoluted and maze-like. I wandered through several VERY long passageways and water-filled tunnels before finally emerging into Ubik. I thought, okay well, that was tedious, but maybe there will be some redeeming factors above-ground. Well, the surface is composed of Ubik, some random buildings that serve little purpose, and little bits of alphacampaign. The problem with Ubik (besides being out-of-place like everything else) is that it has no jump-pads, which makes traversing the map mostly impossible.

I would urge you to keep practicing and improving your map, but because of the composite nature of this one (which just feels like you threw a couple maps at the wall and packaged the combined fragments together with a generic name) I'd be far more interested in something original - like every other map maker tends to produce.

I'm pretty sure I'm coming off as a condescending dick, and I don't really want to continue my criticism anyways. Just as with anything else, the best maps in Red Eclipse are the ones that draw from the successes of other games' maps and the other maps within RE itself, but are completely unique at the same time. The uniqueness you bring to the table will rely on your creativity as a map-maker.

Myself, I've never released a map, though I've made some pretty terrible ones. Keep working and practicing with the tools at hand and you'll eventually make something excellent! Good luck!

I didn't look into this so far, but since I am a big fan of Ubik and Echo, I will definitely do and try to give you some feedback as well.
I always wished there would be a similar map to Ubik!
