Simple question. Simple answer. This pretty much determines the upper limit of your in-game reaction time. (Your real-life reaction time is irrelevant here. )

Question for those who play this wonderful game: How good is your internet connection for playing Red E? [This game uses next to no bandwidth so bandwidth is pretty much irrelevant!]

I got a D... figures. That's why it's so hard to land hits in insta... or with any non-AOE weapon...... If you get an A what is your ISP so that I can switch to it!

Question for those who run servers: what is the closest PINGTEST server to your game server?

This ought to spark an interesting discussion a bragging competition...

Not that it helps much, being Australian means we have to put up with playing on US or European servers just to play with other people.

I have ~10-30ms to (my) Insomnia servers, same to Evo, most Frogs servers up to 60ms - but it's when I'm not downloading anything.

Btw. I use wireless network.

The server closest to me (Because there aren't any game servers in Pennsylvania)

And just for the hell of it, I did Germany and Poland :P


And I guess it wouldn't hurt to throw Australia in here

Pingtest is full of fail. I never have 44 ping in any games, at best 60, at worst 3000.

That's why you should pingtest server locations rather than the server closest to you. Anyone can get good ping to the server nearest them. But for people like quin, you'll always end up connecting to a server that's across the seas. Which is why I threw in some Euro servers.

By default it uses the pingtest server closest to you if you don't choose one manually. So, you probably have 44 ping to the closest pingtest server.

And today I got an F. With a nearby server.

(Internet here at my dad's place) I've got a really lousy NIC in my laptop, and our ISP is pretty sub-par
