Yeah, it's fine. Usually if I see a ticket like this and I've already fixed the issue in question, I'll just mark it as "alreadydone", but you closed the ticket before I had a chance to see it.

I would like to see a condensed version of the game monitor on the main page, visible on first glance, something like "10 players on 4 servers online (updated 1 min ago)" - maybe with a link to the game monitor (or integrate the game monitor as subpage of redeclipse.net even?)

Maybe just host game monitor on diffrent website, and add subdomain and link to it on main website to it? Domain like servers.redeclipse.net wich will be just new subdomain of http://redflare.ofthings.net/ ?

maybe like with sauer's quaddamage powerup, there should be a notification when somebody gets the rocket.

Unless this matter has already been addressed or has never actually been present, according to what I have read on the forum, Red Eclipse 1.2 does not transfer the mapname.png along with the map. To maintain consistency in all play situations I want to assure that Red Eclipse 1.3 will transfer the mapname.png along with the mapname.mpz, mapname.wpt, mapname.cfg and mapname.txt.

Could be possible that it doesn't work properly, it isn't something I have had the chance to test yet. Theoretically, it should just work, like all else before it; there are no variables for this.

The possibility of turning off shrapnel/gibs of weapons using parttypes 8 or 9 (weapon specific). Alternately the possibility of toggling shrapnel/gibs for each individual weapon parttype.
Weapons 20->39 acting as unmodified versions of weapons 0->19 for use in modification. Example: If weapon 8, instead of exploding, uses weapon 5 as flak for damage any modifications to weapon 5 would apply to weapon 8 as well; If weapon 8 uses weapon 25 instead it would use an unmodified version of the weapon 5.

Weapon 1 present on maps in case spawnweapon =/= 1.

Some form of 'base destruction' mode where:
Both teams have bases as with bomber-ball;
The base has %basehealth% health and recovers at %baseregenheath% per %baseregentime% after %baseregendelay% from being damaged;
The base is immobile;
All weapons do damage to the base;
Once the base is destroyed, the opposing team gains 1 point and the arena/map is reset as with the duel mutator.

As I have just read that there is a chance for 1.3 being in the near future, I will quickly request another neat feature that would save me (and probably many others) lots of time when editing. You see, when texturing I know mostly exactly which texture I want to use for a certain area and I know the name of that texture, but it can be hard to find through all the tabs. Tabs are just numbered, not sorted like FLOORS / WALLS / DOORS / ... or WOOD / METAL / STONE / ... or whatever. It is hard to fit them in only 1 certain group, so that won't be a good solution anyway. And then, textures can jump from tabs when you use them excessivly, which is sometimes handy, but sometimes a PITA as well. So what if there was 1 extra tab at the top right with a SEARCH field? You simply enter a part of the name of the texture (e.g. CONC or BASE or TRIM) and you get a custom filter that you can use instantly.

another weapon change that occurred to me, it's hard (for me, at least) to tell where you shot when using the zoom on the rifle. Could that be changed so it's more like the primary fire, with the actual laser shot and ball of light?

also, +1 to Ulukai's and R. Scarlet's suggestions. Out of curiosity, would removing shrapnel increase fps or not?

I would love to be able to cancel a bomberball pass to a player who moves out of view. While rare, in 1.2 once I hold F I can't release it without blowing the pass and not being able to pick it up until a count of 33 while my opponent can pick up the ball straight away. How about R or another appropriate key canceling the pass?

Hey Guys....

i got more than 3 stuff to suggest but not big things many from sauerbraten so it's maybe easier to make it happen

1. Better Reaload for SMG
2. Adjustable BOT Skill
3. Thirdperson
4. Ability switch off wireframe (or i'm the only who can't switch it off ?)
5. an updater or something for who have slow internet speed because took many time to download always the full client
6.maybe a anti-cheat program because every memory hack works for this game too...
when i pressed Edit Button than F3 i see a lots of stuff but i think sauerbraten's editor better than this...
7. Put Console back to bottom or make it selectable...
8. Slower movement better than suaer's speed but still too fast i think...
9.Ability to lean
10.Lower grenade throw because it's too high i think..

umm and MAP search not working for me i write down the name but always the game star with the selected one (or i can't use this too)
campaign only laggy for me ? i have about 5fps but on map named echo about 50-60.. on ot 50-120....
many servers says unable to connect server using newer protocol but i have 1.2 Cosmic Edition...

ahh i dont know other post is posted or not but...

1. i want more optimalization cus my bro have intel gma4500m and have 5fps in 240x320 windowed lowest graphics... suaerbraten runs about 50-80fps for him in max settings without shaders
2. when i choose a skin i want to see other's skin not always everybody male/female what i'm selected
3.maybie Search & Destroy Mode :D

huh, that's funny. Try typing "/wireframe 0"? There's also outlines, you can turn them off with "/outline 0".

Also, the server-side variables "/grenadespeed1" and "/grenadespeed2" control how much force you can chuck a grenade with, and "/grenadeweight1" and "/grenadeweight2" determine how fast grenades fall. "/movespeed" controls how fast you move (you can also make it so that sprinting takes energy with the variable "/impulsesprint").

Hope this is helpful. :)

Also, BTW, I think leaning would be a cool feature. I'm not exactly sure how it would affect gameplay, but I think having a button that makes you able to dodge things Matrix-style would feel pretty badass. (If that's what you're talking about; I might be confused.) The only problem is you would be a sitting duck for the next shot, and we already have Impulse Dash, which has the same effect but gets you out of the way. A leap/roll where you leap really quickly out of the way but have to get up afterwards would be cool too.

This sounds interesting, please tell me more. I might be able to help out with this, and the name sounds cool. I've made a gamemode that could be described as "Search and Destroy": Killer Mode. But I don't know if it's like the Search and Destroy you have in mind.

but i wrote them in to autoexec and not working :S

i mean lean liek Call of Dutys if you press buttons example Q or E you will lean to right or left like this : Image
if you stop pressing the button you will be lean back automaticly
good for look out from cover or something...

this is COD like or Counter Strike...
1 team for defense and 1 for attacking...
the attacking side carrying the bomb and they need to plant it to a target. (maybe 1 or 2 at one map)
NO RESPAWN !
bomb can dropped and picked up...

this mode used for Clan Wars in lot of games...
yeah and maybe an option for website to record clans and players of them and a button wich named CHALLANGE THEM or somethin'...
hmm and an other stuff what i miss from the game...
Bash,knife etc for melee attack cus i binded melee to "V" but nothing happens when i'm pressing it...

username1028 - I think that 'lean' doesn't fit to RedEclipse, wich is really fast-placed game with parkour - there's no way to use it enough fast with RE gamespeed and movement to not get killed just like 'noobish camper'.

random map button. you select your mode and mutators, decide whether to include sauer maps in the pool or not (against bots), then hit the button, and it takes you to a random map within that pool.

Oh, and out of curiosity: what's the codename (e.g. supernova version) and all that for 1.3?
