.IQM to .blend (or .md5 to .blend)

.IQM to .blend (or .md5 to .blend)

I could have sworn I saw this script in the files somewhere, does anybody know exactly where? I want to improve the hudguns anims, but I need the conversion script first.

Arn't the original source .blend files in the repository?

Converting a md5 back to a .blend results in a horrible mess with the bones, thus it's basically impossible to edit that afterwards anyways.

The .blend files seem indeed to be lost. I asked that once in IRC and some guy told me he lost and cant upload them anymore.
Anyhow, there exists an md5 importer, find it here: http://www.katsbits.com/tools/
About the mess of the bones I cannot say anything, i didnt develop my workchain so well that I could test it out. Due to the fact that most weapons seem to consist out of 2 or 3 bones only, it might be worth a try, though.

I think it is "data/models/player/RE_Player_rig.iqm", failing that you can always grab the player model and remove everything but the arms.

I have 'em from the beta release and the 1.1 (The .blend files, that is). What I really need is the exporter part, but I also need the importer to make them mesh nicely with the current game world. Another thing I want to work on are custom switch weapon anims, and punch anims so you don't have to take for granted you're punching lol. riidom, are you the artist that made the current actors?

EDIT: There are plenty of export scripts, but no import scripts to be found! [Depressed face]

No, I actually don't know who it was and if the person is still around maybe.
