Bug report and suggestion

Bugs: I'm running a mac and crosshairs aren't working on the SVN.
Also, the weapon sounds are all screwed (i believe)
Suggestion(s): Camera bob or something that makes you feel like you are running, not gliding.
The pistol and SMG feel like toys right now due to the animations.

Can you make a small vid to see if sound are screwed, or if it's how they should be.

Smg animation is exactly the same as before (almost not animated)
Pistol : Should be better than the old one (more powerfull looking). Can you make a vid of how it looks for you ?

Mac client also need compiling...

Before you launch Red Eclipse, please follow the instructions on setting the Home directory of the SVN build. Those problems sound like what happens when configs between the stable release and SVN clash.

Find those instructions here:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/r ... _in_Tandem

It says only Windows and Linux, but IIRC, Mac uses .sh files, so I believe the settings should apply you as well.
If not, whatever you're using to launch Red Eclipse with, try to see if you can edit it and change similar settings. The important part is the "-h" switch.

  • Crosshairs and weapon sounds are likely due to mismatch of binary and data, i.e. you need to recompile it! (Any OSX users out there know the procedure with xcode?)
  • Camera bob has been discussed in this thread (but nothing decided): viewtopic.php?f=53&t=2053
  • The animations may also be down to recompilation, but if not, I'd disagree, I think they look good on SVN, especially the new pistol.
  • For the Tandem Settings, it should be possible to follow the Linux instructions for OSX as well.
