Everyone else please feel free to discuss ideas in this thread that you think would be good in the trailer so that others can be inspired. There is no set deadline, if a sufficient trailer isn't available by the release we will simply keep the current until one is found.
BUT if I were to make a trailer for this game, my checklist would be this:

I've actually tried using the Ingame recorder. I wish I could give you info about it, but everytime i hit record with it, it records no sound and the recording is all black(no gameplay). In my opinion, you can always pick up either FRAPS (which is hardware intensive) or Playclaw (the 'Gift-of'the-Day' edition which is free). Someone also gave me a link to download their copy of Dxtory..I've yet to use it, but apparently it records gameplay too.
If you would like to use the ingame recording tool, I believe the command is /movie <title>. Therefore, I would type in something like "/movie video001" and then when I'm done recording, just type in "/movie" again.
There are alternatives like RecordMyDesktop, Yukon and the Gnome-Shell built-in recorder but I still have to try this out for the first time. I don't know about framerate and codecs though, so I might have to convert them after recording. As far as video editing is concerned, OpenShot and PiTiVi should do the trick under Linux.

720 is enought, good frame rate is more importante

Recordmydesktop has 50 FPS max cap and can't record fullscreen opengl games that are rendered indirectly... I think I'll leave it to someone more experienced
