New power jump

The power jump have been tweaked in 1.2, what do you think ?
The pool does not define new gameplay (simple curiosity)

(new command is jump during a powerslide)

It would be more natural to me with Half Life power jump style
Press jump just after releasing crouch. (about 100 or 200 ms latency)(client customizable delay ?)
It's how you jump in real life, crouch, extend, jump, so it always felt quite natural in HL.

It's also good, because you can't do this command by accident.
Should also make jump slide jump chain easier to perform, As you won't have to release crouch just before jumping anymore. you just have to hold crouch, and jump.

Makes me wanna try out half life now. That sounds hella easier than the way it is in 1.1 (not to mention 1.2 makes it seem more complicated lol). If we could get it to be the way you suggested, that'd be nice.

I should note that the new v1.2 style was actually tailored to be chained with a power slide rather than a dash, which you can now do again since I removed the pound move. So it ends up being more, "land, slide, jump", this isn't so much a power jump rather that the jump conserves your power slide momentum and then adds to it even more. Power jumping is nothing like the way it was in v1.1.

Yes, now with Ground pound removed, it would be easier, but I will still do it by accident if I try to chain slide Jump.
I'll remove the complexity argument (as it's outdated without groundpound).
(HL way is still possible to chain with a powerslide : slide, release crouch, jump)
