New Damage Screen. [SUGGESTION]

Hello, I've made a new damage screen for RE, tell me what do you think.
I would like to cause the screen to stretch a little and display the red border.
Is this possible?

EDIT:
Its just a suggestion, not a mod, sorry.

Could you upload a small video to have a better look?

I think what he means is upload a video showing what it looks like when you get hit. The picture is just a gfx. We want to know how it will look, will it flash? if it does, does it flash black, or white, or clear screen? I'm curious to know what it would look like.

I like the idea of a screen that doesn't flash, but does get more and more red-tinted and twisted as you are damaged. Then, as you regenerate life, it untwists itself. Like when you lose/regain sanity in Amnesia for anyone who's played that. I don't like strawberry jam all over my screen... it gets old fast and feels less futuristic.

Alternate idea: what about an effect that makes it look like the lens you are viewing the game through gets cracked and bloodied as you take damage? When it heals, the cracks re-seal and the blood fades out.

Any distortion of the viewport would require shaders to be done properly (you wouldn't want to run a software post effect on the entire screen every frame).

Oooh, I likes the sound of that. :)

It's kind of like Safelite's exclusive resin. It bonds stronger, and lasts longer than other resins.

Safelite repair, Safelite replace!

I agree. It's used quite a bit and I'd love to see something original. Sadly however, I have no ideas :/

Made me think of when you die in F.E.A.R. 2 :P

I do kind of like GooshGoosh's idea, with the red blurred vision. (though maybe a tiny bit less intense) Perhaps you could even throw in a sort of throbbing, like the heartbeat. I do really like the idea of the gradual cracking/bleeding visor. That would be REALLY cool. :D

We should add ALL of those as options... the stretching one as an option thats only available to those with shaders.
