POLL: Zooming

As you may already know, current behaviour for zooming forbids the ability to zoom while in the air. This is controlled by the 'zoomlock' variable (default value: 1 "must be on floor"), which was introduced to deter people from springing up in the air, quickly zooming, and guaranteeing a headshot with the very powerful secondary fire of the rifle.

Since its creation, there have been several complaints about this feature. Therefore, it is being opened up to public input.

Unrestricted, I say this with the recommendation if possible that whilst moving, the speed of movement affects accuracy - or static amounts -> when ground moving decreases X% and when in air X%.

This is already the default behaviour for all weapons in Red Eclipse, controlled by the 'movespread', 'inairspread', and 'impulsespread' variables. :)

Interesting!
I cant say I've noticed it with any weapons, then again the only full servers I get on give me 180+ ping and people playing with ~250 and nothing seems to hit anyone anyway :lol:

Personally, when i read this part, the first thing that came to mind was 'quickscoping' lol. But in all honesty, I wish i was good enough to jump up and scope someone's head and kill. I mean seeing as how fast paced this game is, I would think jumping up and scoping would be less effective. Anyway, I just think if you were to jump and scope, the rifle would be more popular.

I voted for unrestricted. If you can hit someone while jumping, impulse dashing and wallruning, you might do it as well while zooming (it's hard anyway).
Maybe, restrict it more for the "league" mutator (if it's ever finished).

Trust me, some people pwn with the rifle. I added this because I kept getting hammered by Architect and JoJo with it. :p
