Windows binary autobuilds

Windows binary autobuilds

Postby arand » 11 Sep 2013, 10:37

For all windows users out there who tracks SVN (or would like to), I've set up an autobuild service in order to create windows binaries that are up to date with the latest code from SVN.

http://redeclipse.net/wiki/Obtain_devel ... l_Binaries
wiki {l Wrote}:An experimental build service for Windows binaries has been set up using the openSUSE Open Build Service. And automated using a simple shell script provided at gitorious/arand-scripts.

The automation is set up to normally publish corresponding binaries about 30 minutes after SVN has changed.

Do note that these binaries needs to be downloaded separately, and due to limitations of the build service, they are stored in "Fedora" RPM archives rather than ZIP.

In order to download and use the pre-built binaries:
  • Go to http://software.opensuse.org/download.h ... clipse-win
  • Click on the "Fedora" logo
    • Click "Grab binary packages directly"
    • Download the redeclipse-win-1.4+svn.*.x86_64.rpm package
    • Use something like 7zip to unpack the package
    • Copy the binaries from the "bin\x86\" or "bin\amd64" folder into your current SVN checkout, replacing the existing binaries in the corresponding directory.

I hope it might be useful for some, suggestions for improvements welcome :)
