Triggers/Scripting problems

Triggers/Scripting problems

Postby unixfreak » 23 Apr 2012, 08:00

I still can't figure out how to link two trigger entities (so i can combine a script with a mapmodel-state toggle), which is holding back all these great ideas i've had for a singleplayer campaign-style map lately. If anyone can explain how that is done i'd be very grateful. Cheers.

I've also been wondering is it possible to find out which weapon is currently equipped (return a value of some kind)?

If you could imagine a cave with entrances that are blocked by something which looks likes a spiderweb, the player would have to find the flamethrower spawn in order to get past it. So essentially, you are shooting the mapmodel of the spiderweb, which triggers the animation/state of the mapmodel allowing you to walk through, just like a door.

What i want to try and do is to make it so that when the player "shoots" the spiderweb (within proximity) with the flamethrower, they can advance to the next section.

Is this possible?

Not currently, would require I work on the campaign ideas a bit more first.
