Not bad, you have a few things backward but that's more our fault for not providing enough documentation.

Grenades do not take up a weapon slot, all other weapons do. Grenades are like a low powered rocket, they are plentiful and spawn in all modes. They are hard to use and the skill is in cooking them just right to explode on someone's head. Swords and shotgun alt-fire flak do residual damage too, "bleeding".

Overall, a good review, with a lot of depth on your behalf. I applaud the attention to detail, and I loved the Pyro reference in there; exactly the reaction I was after. We all come from different FPS backgrounds and have sort-of melded them all together into this weird mutation called Red Eclipse.

I'm glad you, and many others, are enjoying the game as much as we do when we work on it. We do it for free, with the satisfaction we're creating a fun and free game for everyone. "By the people, for the people", and it obviously works :)

Hopefully, we can address the issue that have come up in this release, and keep producing more fun variations on gameplay to keep people occupied for a long time to come. Happy fraggin', campers.

It's not a weird mutation. It's a REALLY AWESOME mutation of everything that was ever good in the FPS world.

There is plenty of info on mapping with Sauerbraten (Cube2) since the editor is really part of the Sauerbraten engine. (There was a segment of the review lamenting the lack of map editor tutorials.)
