I’ve made a new level. It’s a small level, but you must cleave your way out. You don’t have to use any glitches and I haven’t hidden any power-ups in invisible blocks or other boring stuff. You have to make use of some very cool SuperTux mechanics. I promise you will learn something new by playing this level.
In 3 days I’m going to upload the solution of this puzzle (if you couldn’t figure it out at that time). Do you want to play some even more complex puzzles?

i just can't figure out how to get to the ladder. i got both the spring and the box near that door after many trials. too bad there is no save in tux( once i died i had to make another 10-20 runs to get both the carry-on there)

nvm. took me an hour worth of tries. but did it after all. and who said anything about climbing the stairs? xD

and to answer your question, yes do make more puzzles.

I was able to beat your level in about 20-30 min., but I don't think I did it the intended way (I never used the ladder or the set of doors). I would love to see more puzzle levels or levels that showcase unique mechanics in Supertux. One comment though: don't put invisible walls in arbitrary places. If it looks like you can walk through, you should be able to walk through.

Thanks for your feedback! Here is the intended solution of the level:

1. Download the level and extract the zip file.
2. Download the puzzle solution into the same folder.
3. Open a terminal in the folder (On Windows: SHIFT+right click > open Powershell here)

4. Now you can play the recording.
This is the general syntax:

{l Code}: {l Select All Code}

<supertux executable> <location of the level> --play-demo <location of the recording>

Here is how you would do it on Linux:

supertux2 level2.stl --play-demo puzzle\ solution.txt

Here is how you would do it on Windows:

Now I’m very interested in seeing how you came back without using the ladder.

i moved both the spring and the box near the ice power up. i placed the string so i can jump on the opening to the lava pit. i could do that only it if crouched then jumped while being crouched. again while being crouched jumped from the ledge on the leaf monster just before he died in lava. so with a double jump i managed to get to the 2 wooden moving tiles. note: i had the box on me all time using the control action (while crouch jumping on the spring then on the monster). i placed the box on 1 wood tile and from the rising another one went to the bomb and used the ice powerup on them. (first time i managed to do this i actually jumped in the void by mistake and had to do another 5 min to actually finish the game). xD

@the shapeshifter I did it pretty much the same as you, except I froze the leaf guy before he walked into the lava so it was easier to time jumping on him. Also, you don't need to take the rock with you because of a cool trick. You can throw items through one-way walls if you're right next to them. So you can throw the rock through the one-way wall at the beginning and it will land on the pneumatic platform. I honestly don't see how you would make it with the ladder. I tried to get to it about 10 times, but couldn't do it.

I solved the puzzle the way @DevonST did (it didn't look as good as his playthrough, though ), however I froze that walking leaf after entering the door. This allows to close the gap to the right of the lava pit, forcing the player to use the ladder. However, it would be a shame to remove that skill jump. (@the shapeshifter: I'm really impressed !)
