Hi,

I have tested your levels. They´re very nice (not to easy but also not to hard, and they look good).

I´m also preparing levels for SuperTux. But actually, only 3 levels are finished.
I will share them, when they all are complete and in my worldmap.

I played through most of them and I only have one negative thing to say.
In the Dungeons of Nolok you have a forced hit section and some incredibly hard to dodge fireballs.
I'd recommend removing the forced hits as they are no fun and remove a powerup you were just granted a moment ago, which would make the fireball area a bit easier with the Ice Flower. It doesn't make much sense to reward a player with a powerup and then take it right away.

Thank you for the help,
i don't understand where it happened (fireball area and where i rewarded the player with powerup) ,,can you give me some screenshots about the places ?
i willl delete the forced hits and making the level in the medium difficulty.

The secret area which I believe is the real exit is guarded by jumpy guy which is also pretty impassable unless you have the powerup on the branch above, which I lost from the fish, forcing me to die.

it is possible that the problem is caused by :

    You do not unzip the "creatures" folder correctly ?
    Or
    You do not have the latest version of the game ?
    So
    In this level, supertux have nothing to do with the boss he needs only to survive. and finally the boss will Give Up !

I had the same problem like Lolkat. I dont knew the right way, there is no coin, no sign, no info block. Normally, Tux falls down in the middle and dies. A sign to the left site would help.

@Lolkat
You can kill the jumpy next to the secret area with the exit with a Mr. Iceblock, which you carry until there.

There are a couple of issues with the file structure used in the levels. Normally I'd start by suggesting that you package the levels as an addon, but it appears that the addon manager is no longer working due to some recent change. This could be done easily with what you already have by adding a .nfo file to the contents of your current .zip file. This should be a text file with something like the following:

  (license "GPL 2+ / CC-by-sa 3.0")

)

Take a look at how other addons are packaged. This has several advantages: there is no need to place extra content folders or alter the existing file structure of SuperTux, all your level content exists as a single self-contained unit that works when the un-extracted .zip file is placed in either the "data" or "supertux2" directories (easy to install), and finally if packaged as an addon, I will be able to make the levels available to everyone playing SuperTux through the in-game addon manager (once it is working again).

Perhaps more importantly, you should consider changing the naming of some of the folders. For instance, you capitalize some of the directories containing your custom sprites; however, your scripts use filepaths with all lowercase letters. This obviously isn't an issue in your OS, but in other distributions it causes the script to fail- sometimes leaving Tux "stuck" in the deactivated state, plus your custom content doesn't display. Also I would get out of the habit of using spaces in file and folder names, this will make manipulation of your content easier for those using the command line terminal and avoids potential issues due to how filepaths are read.

When I get some more time I'll chime in with some more thoughtful comments on the actual levels- I havn't played through the most recent version yet.

In the level "Midnight Xplosion", it's possible to entry into the secret area from the left site. Then the layer infront of the area doesn't disappear.

But no one can access to the top by using this way only by using the gost mod !

Well I have a better understanding of the changes made to the addon manager, and it turns out some of the information I gave you earlier is no longer correct. Specifically, your .nfo file should now look like this:

When I make the change and then put the zip file into .supertux2/addons, I can accesses through the addon manager in-game and there is no need to install any of your cusom image files. However, I noticed a couple of filepath errors while in-game. The Gloobyking image does not load in The Showroom. All of the Rainbow Apples showed up with the default sprite, meaning the sprite filepaths are probably wrong. Most problematic were the sprites used for your lifts in Welcome to Icyland and It's Snow Cold Outside, these were also not found so there were no lifts making the first level difficult to finish and the other impossible. In addition, there are a couple of levels with some extra badguys that fall off the world making it impossible to fill out the max fragging stat. Otherwise all the technical elements seem to be set.

There are a few other suggestions I have as well: first change the solid cloud platforms in the level Chilly to something else- they're hard to see with the cloud particles, I guess you could alternatively remove the partilces (level is a bit particle heavy) but that makes the secret easy to find and that part is fine as is; second animate your Glooby sprites, a few extra frames with the tentacles slightly moved would make them much more dynamic enemies; finally in areas where you use normal tiles in a background layer you might consider reducing the alpha level of the normal tiles so they look different and it's more clear that Tux can pass through them otherwise it looks kind of odd.

The levels themselves are quite enjoyable, and you spent a good amount of time making them look decent which is appreciated. I especially liked what you did in Forest of Illusion, that was really quite clever (although I didn't like the background pipe right next to the solid ones, and there was an extra invisible block right in front of the last mole). It's a nice and complete set which has it's moments of difficulty, but without resorting to going over the top. Overall good job.

In case my responses to emails sent through this fourm are getting caught by your spam filter or otherwise not making it to you, I want to make sure that you know that I've been on the verge of adding your levels to the addons. There are a couple of major bugs which need to be addressed first though. By level, they are:

Welcome to icyland - graphic missing for the platform, only way to beat the level is through the secret area
OMG ! a flying penguin - reset point is too close to badguys, Tux gets killed almost immediately after respawn
Forest of illusion - rainbow apple not displayed correctly
The Dungeons of Nolok - the two short platforms after the "RUN" sign on the lava are not entirely solid on the top (1 tile solid instead of 2)
Short visit to Ancient Ruins - rainbow apple not displayed correctly

Once they are addressed, I think your levels will be set to be included.
