Hi there. It's now memorial day, which means The Crystal Catacombs is out now!

You can find the add-on download on the discord in #showcase https://discord.gg/Pc9NTgqCDv or you can download the add-on from here! It should be available through the add-on manager in a while.

The map is on v0.6.3.

It features 42 levels, 15+ cutscenes, and a unique story.

I'm having a lot of fun with Crystal Catacombs. Really thoughtful design and unique gameplay elements.

how did i make this? 2 years of effort - about a year into planning, and another year into solid level design. when i say it took a long time i really mean it, each level has on average about 20 hours put into it i'd say

I was totally astounded by this elaborate worldmap!
The plot is wonderful, and reminded me a bit of Sonic CD.
The sometimes very complex level design lead me to a few ragequits here and there, but hey, I still loved playing it!

In "Wallkicks Will Work", the Jumpy jumping on the Flying Snowball is funny! I might have expected one of them to fall through the other one, or kill it, or just stick to it and stop moving. But no, they move together nicely. :)

In "Cruel, Cold Waters", below the green switch, some water tiles are missing; it's almost possible to fall down and die.

In "Two Tricky Tasks", you can skip the wind tunnel puzzle at the end, by carrying blocks through the door and then up the rope. (Rather, throwing them up the rope.) I'm not sure if you're supposed to be able to carry things through doors, given that they fly through the level instead of instantly appearing with you. What's the intended behavior?

In case any other completionists can't find the 2nd secret area in "Permafrost", I couldn't either. (I did find the 1st secret area, to the left of the checkpoint, as well as the passage leading to the secret ending that unlocks "Defibrillation", below the checkpoint.) I had to peek in the level editor, and found that the secret area is misplaced. It's at the top of the passage leading to the secret ending. I guess you're supposed to hit it when you fall down into the passage, but you start a bit too low.

But you can still reach it anyway! I brought an Air Flower from a different level, and dropped down into the passage. I picked up the bomb next to the trampoline, and jumped on the trampoline using the Air Flower to get as high as possible, and then the bomb exploded and boosted me upward into the secret area.

This sounds like a bug because you're using the latest nightly, which changes the position from where tux spawns from spawn objects - this map was made for v0.6.3, please play it in that. thanks.
