Version 1.2 of my worldmap, "Aron's levels".

I'd like to publish my worldmap here. It's quite heavy-weight, containing 26 levels. I worked on it all summer with a little help from my brother. It contains forest, ghost forest and ice elements. You can use it by extracting and the copying the folder to your $HOME/.local/share/supertux2/levels/ directory. Give it a try!

UPDATE (2020-08-13): V1.1 contains bugfixes. Please consider downloading again if you obtained it already.
UPDATE (2020-08-16): V1.2 contains further bugfixes. Please consider downloading again if you obtained it already.

I completed all levels – they are great! I liked the lantern that reveals hidden tiles when you hold it.

I only found one game-breaking issue: The trees in the lake level are solid making the level impossible to finish.

Minor issues:
* The secret in Loot in the forest needs an indicator. I generally dislike sections that either kill Tux or open a secret area, e.g. riding a crusher to the top or jumping into the wall of a pit.
* Waiting on a wooden boat that floats to the right while avoiding spikes got boring after the second time I had to do it.
* I don’t like the sections where you ride a wooden platform down or up a shaft while walking to the left and right to avoid spikes. Sometimes the spacing is so small that it’s impossible to keep your powerup.

Your world is amazing. I hope it gets added to the addons repository soon.

Thank you very much for testing my world and sharing your opinion! I added an indicator for the secret in "Loot in the forest", fixed the solid trees in the lake level, and did some minor aesthetic fixes. This is version 1.1, which I've uploaded while deleting the original file.

First I will play these levels. After that, I can add them to the Add-ons, if desired. ;)

Thank you very much. I would happily contribute to the game this way, and it would be a huge honor for me. (BTW, I'm working on further minor bugfixes and I'm plannig to upload v1.2 soon.)

Do you want to release it under CC-BY-SA 4.0 International? Most, if not all of the game is set under this license.

Thank you for asking. I'm not a licence expert, but I think it will be appropriate, so yes it's good for me :-)

The Level's are a bit repetitive but assuming you made
them in one Summer pretty impressive....

Thank you for adding my world to the addons repository. I've found some problems, however :-( This addon cannot be installed because of some errors in its .nfo file:

The version contains (a dot and) a minor number, but according to my experiences Supertux 0.6.2 can only handle version numbers consisting of only one number and nothing else, so the version should be simply 1 or something like this. Beside this, there are upper/lowercase differences between the id string in the .nfo file and the name of the subdirectory inside the levels directory. This latter difference probably doesn't cause any problems in this Supertux version, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for checking. I was bashing my head over why it wasn't working. Let's see if it does the trick.

Thank you for the quick response. Changing the version number did the trick indeed, so it works now! The id case mismatch remained however, I hope it won't cause incompatibilities with other Supertux versions.

I like your level as 3 place like the forest island also the ghost forest with the tower, by the way I think push button I think it has as a springboard something like that.

I played through your world map. A lot of the levels very clearly have parts ripped from the main story of the game (specifically the terrain), which I think is very lazy, unimaginative, and clumsy. The rest of the level design is ok. It was an enjoyable map still, but there are just so many questionable level design choices that I couldn't wrap my head around their rationalisation. Level's themes were sometimes just strange, undeveloped, lost halfway through the stage, or just not executed at all. I rate this map about a 5/10. I hope you continue making levels though, good luck.

To Be Honest,

I Didn't Expect This Map To Be A Huge Topic.

Yes, I know my world is not perfect. And to be honest, I worked on it more than just the summer. I started making it when our school was closed (I'm 15 years old), and my little brother contributed more or less to 3 levels. My dad helped us with some technical issues and the English language (e.g. writing here, in the forums). Thank you for rating and using my work.
