Well, I saw a few of you asking for this recently so here it is.

Supertux: Adventure to the New World is my attempt to take the levelsets for Supertux 0.1.3 by @Miksy91 and breathe new life into it for Supertux Milestone 2. For those who have played the original levelset, many of the levels should feel familiar, but the levels have been cleaned up aesthetically, the wordmaps have been revamped, and some mechanics have been altered for the new Milestone.


For those who never played the original levelsets, I would describe these levels as medium to hard difficulty, but all doable. If you want to play through in chronological order, finish ATTNW1 first, then play ATTNW2. As far as installing, just drop the .zip file in your addons folder, enable the levelsets in the addons menu, and you should be good to go.

UPDATE 2/9/19: ATTNW1: fixed bug with getting stuck in final boss room, added music to worldmap

I really think the worldmap and some of the levels need a lot more detail.

Awesome! This was a levelset that I was originally gonna start working on around 2 years ago (which is when I originally asked Misky91 to make it) but never officially started. From what I've played so far, it looks pretty good, its neat to have a working version of AttNW.

Hey Jonathan,

some of the levels don't work because you specified version 3 in the level files. Please change all of them to version 2 and let me test them.

Still not runing.....
even with the Level Editor, can't open it.
Where can i change 3 to version 2 ? ... so that i can play it.

Weird... I believe I've fixed them; I reuploaded the files; can you test and see if they work now? I'm not sure how they got like that. I think the Supertux 0.6.0 editor saved them as version 3 by default. So they weren't working on 0.6.0 for others? They ran fine on my computer, irregardless of the version number.

Whenever i tried it out before all this, i could not get past any other levels but the intro.

And what about now? Does the updated version fix this problem for you?

I already had the prev. versions installed before this. what do i do?

You can simply download the new version and overwrite the old files.

I did that.

When you start the add-on in SuperTux now, you should be able to play the new version automatically.

wait, where's adventure to the new world 3? or bonus island x? or tux new journey?

Adventure to the New World 3 will be released at some point. I actually started working on the ATTNW3 levels right after I released ATTNW1 & 2. But after I got to a certain point, my creativity kind of stalled, and I let them drop for a while. Also, university's kept me really busy, but at least I graduate this year. I do plan to come back to ATTNW3 though, so keep your eyes open.
I never really had any intention of working on Bonus Island x or Tux's New Journey, but I could consider picking them up, if I had time...

...Is it ok if I help beta test the ATTNW3 remake?

Where is the file for Adventure to the New World 3? I can't wait to test it out.
