Agree with the above stuff. Good start. The ocean could be represented more, in my opinion. More experiments/ideas are certainly welcome.

Some experiment I did yesterday:

Take a simple version of Pachelbel's Canon in D, transposed to E flat major, and change the instrumentation a bit. While not inherently tropical it could work IMHO.

I'm not a music expert, but what do you think Krobonil? Thought it might be some idea to you.

The soundtracks posted are good for the game.
Personally, I think that World 3 should sound something like the themes of World 3 of New Super Mario Bros on the DS.

B. I think we should also consider how World 3 would look and feel, if there's going to be unique mechanics (swimming, beach things), enemies (hermit crabs, seals), and if there's enough resources/time to make it a possibility in the first place, and if so, we need some sort of roadmap and basic plan first.

World 3 should be aquatic style in my humble opinion. Some time ago I made a small water level, you can use it as you like. :cool:

Come to think, I somehow edit some levels from story mode!!! :o And since I did that, I made the tropical world on story mode!
