New Backgrounds!

During my travels through the antarctic, I made a couple backgrounds for you. Don't worry, I'm this is not all, I'm working on more. Some for the forest, some for the antarctic, and some even for (If there even is one in works,) the tropical islands. I also worked on some sprites for existing object, and for some of my own ideas. But I'll save those for another post.

Indeed, but the backgrounds with the ice floes look a bit strange when repeated across the screen, since it rarely happens in nature that ice floes repeat their position exactly after some meters.

This is true. Maybe I'll extend the image out more. Thanks.

By the way, the background with the ice floes are the bottom part of the ice cliffs background.

Yeah indeed we realized. But the repeating pattern doesn't look nice with both. Serano made a test level.

Thanks for all the artwork! Has anyone checked with you yet on licenses for the work you released? iirc everything in the game uses the Gnu GPL license.

Looks really nice! The old Milestone 1 cave background looked a bit odd. It was just tiled bluestone. If you make a cave background, maybe make it pertrude outwards and have stalactites or something? It needs atmosphere, if you get what I mean. It would go with the music, Water drips and stalactites.

It was actually going to be a deep ravine with mountains on top. But you have a good idea.

Also, this could be an effect like snow, but for dripping inside a cave. And I made three for variety.

Hey Jason,

thanks for those. They're really great! I have added all of the backgrounds to the game. Regarding the dripping effect, I will need to think about how to add them properly, but I don't think that it should be difficult.

Thank you!
