The intro cutscene has gone through a couple variations throughout SuperTux history, and while the current one is alright I tried to storyboard a potential new one that has a bit more going on than just "nolok.png grabs penny.png, fade to black".


1. Tux and Penny are having a nice fish picnic, with Tux being on the left and Penny on the right.



2. When all of the sudden the tree begins to rattle and Nolok emerges from it, spying on the penguins at a distance.



3. Penny notices the strange sound and looks behind her, but Nolok hides away from sight.



4. Penny shrugs off her suspicion, but while she's not looking Nolok creeps even further towards her.



5. Penny definitely realizes something's off and takes another look behind her, but Nolok hides in the shrub next to her.

6. Before Penny has any time to think Nolok snags her and makes a run for it! Tux gets shocked by the event and tries to chase Nolok to no avail.



And that's my idea. What do you guys think? Would anyone be willing to help make that a thing, even if it's just a slideshow, or is the current intro good enough?

I like it! But how does Tux not notice anything's amiss until Penny gets taken?

I guess he's too indulged in the picnic...? I could just make it Tux also flinches at the sound of Nolok sneaking around.
