Big Tree for Worldmap

Hello SuperTux community, I've made a 3rd tree variant for the forest worldmap that you can use. It's bigger than the normal trees and can possibly be used near a level that takes place in the treetops. I hope you enjoy, as this is my first art piece, and be sure to tell me your opinions on it!

I really like the concept art of the inside of a tree and I’d say it’s a necessary part that has to be added to the game. When it comes to leaves for such trees I had the idea of having a leaf pattern in general that can be used for a top aligned background and it could also be used for thinner tree stems, making it feel more like Tux is inside a forest.

@BlasterMaster you think it would be possible to make these as tiles? Having it as decals would be limiting when it comes to level design and gameplay, imo. Looks great btw. Maybe a bit too shiny though.

Hi everyone, I've fixed it up a little bit, by making the shadow more consistent and removing some crumbs I found. If this gets added to the game, it will be a decal. I'd especially want to know what @RustyBox thinks of this tree, as he seems to be the lead artist of the game.

I'll make one once I've finished editing all the forest assets I'm trying to do. My list right now is:

Worldmap Tree [finished]
Forest Grass [Partially Finished]
Forest Dirt
Forest Spikevines

I feel like the tree looks a bit basic being made out of mostly circular and rectangular shapes, with not much shading or shape detail. I suggest adding some branches, some more shadows and highlights (light source is at the front top left fyi) and making the shadow directly below the tree. Take inspiration from Jason (BlasterMaster)'s trees.

A giant tree doesn't have to be based too close off of the other trees, especially when there's only one tree of its type. It's a big tree and that's special. Then there's no problem in making it look special as well.

I am working on fixing some of the shade/shadows, but isn't SuperTux supposed to be a fun, cartoon-y game, with kindof cartoony graphics? I'll add highlights and more shading for sure tho. :)

I will consider this as inspiration, but I don't really think this fits. Also, GIMP is broken for me for right now so I might have to take a break from making art (at least for a few days). :( :( Also, what is that red shiny thing?

This wasn't intended to look exactly like the game's style. The red shiny thing was merely an uncompleted level.

Dude, that tree is awesome. It'd be cool if there was a treetops level that used that tree as a worldmap icon.
