libretro core for Supertux?

I would love to be able to play Supertux through Retroplayer (game player for KODI: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc)
This could be done if there was a Libretro core http://www.libretro.com/ for Supertux.
I got some information directly on the Libretro forums (here: http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6179) but it might be a bit too difficult for me.

I would like to know if making a Libretro core for Supertux (or actually for any OpenGame) is something that was ever considered.
I understand that there are other priorities and I definitively do not want to push or distract anybody, just wondering if anybody ever thought about it and if yes see if I can support with it.

Let me know

Thanks
M

So far the only open games I know of for libretro are freedoom via prboom, craft, dungeon crawl stone soup and maybe cave story(nxengine core) if you count engine replacements using proprietary data files.

There's also escape from pong an MIT licensed NES game: http://hcs64.com/efp.html
