When I tried it the other day, I was surprised at how sluggish the game felt. I think in the drive for features, a lot of efficiency has been lost. SuperTux used to be snappy even on modest hardware, but on my mid-range laptop it is now feeling like it can just about keep up. So I'd say "optimization" as a feature.
I also think SuperTux kinda suffers from completeness syndrome. It is nearly there as a full game, but it's not quite there. There's no longer sufficient difference between releases to excite people who have already played it. I think a line needs drawing over a "1.0" version. Decide what the final version should be, work towards that, then try something a bit more exciting for the next "2.0" goal. To that end, I selected "better add-on version" to indicate a time where you can download SuperTux and update add-ons automatically, and play through 1.0, 2.0 etc.
Maybe it's just too early in the morning and I haven't had my coffee.
