SuperTux 0.6.2 beta 1 was released. Please check this page for binary packages for your OS'es (should be available in a couple hours):

It's a good update with a few changes. But I had hope, that you add a small preview to the world 3, so we can play a few levels of the new world. And could you please say me the name of the little addon that you add for your anniversary, because I can't find it in the contrib levels.

world 3 is not yet because it is still searching for tropical jungle, well the supertux 0.6.2 beta.1 some is updated some thing, for example. to updated spider enemy and some other fix is ​​updated

The name of the new addon is “Revenge in Redmond”. Just go to Start GameContrib levels.

I really like the music in the new addon and the sprite changes. The animation for the dart trap is an actual life saver.

What are the changes?


From the GitHub Release:

This is an unstable pre-release that fixes a number of bugs that were reported after 0.6.1. It also features reworked graphics and levels.

Other changes include a power-up counter in the hud, new sprites for the door, a new tileset and several new badguys. But overall, this release is supossed to celebrate our anniversary (May 2000) with a little surprise Add-On, which can be found in the contrib levels!

My highlights:

- lag in Tower of Ghosts got fixed
- you can throw ice cubes downwards
- improved sprites
- new skull tile (like donut blocks from Super Mario)
- higher jumps from climables

I just noticed the translations are not up to date. world-1, world-2, menu-principale are all 100% in German right now, yet I see several untranslated strings:
- World 2: Besides the Bushes
- World 2: The text when you reach the end of the Tower of Ghosts
- Main menu: Values of VSync (on/off/adaptive)

Also, the new level set “Revenge in Redmond” doesn't seem to have a resource yet, i.e. it's untranslatable.

The .ogg file I provided for Tropical Breeze loops too quickly. I'll see if I can give a better file that doesn't do that.

Oh, SuperTux 0.6.2 was already released on May 14, 2020. But the translation updates have not made it in, sadly. :(
