Music Composer for your Game/Project

Music Composer for your Game/Project

Postby marcelofg55 » 15 Dec 2014, 17:38

Hi, I’m a music composer and sound designer and I'm looking for projects to contribute with my music.
I have experience creating music for video games, I'm easy to work with and I always try to create the best music that fits your needs.
I have knowledge of Unity and FMOD, so I can make adaptive music and take care of the sound implementation code as well (I have worked as a programmer in the past).

Here are my links:

Note that this forum is dedicated to the creation of free/libre/open source games, so for most of us royalty free music is still too restrictive; we usually look for music that can be redistributed/modified under a free license such as Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike.

Hi Akien, the license I'm using for my "royalty free music" is Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/). It doesn't allow to modify the music, but it's free :).

ND means the music can't be used in games without permission, making that license useless for a game dev community such as this one.

http://forum.jamendo.com/index.php?p=/d ... -is-not/p1

ND image - (No Derivatives) Don't alter, transform or build upon the music.

The most misunderstood paragraph of the CC license. People think that as long as they don't cut or trim the music, they can use it for their videos, but this is not true. Music with ND attribute is for listening only. You can make unlimited copies of it on various mediums, include it in playlists and compilations, embed it on websites, use it as music on hold or business background music, but you can't use it as soundtrack for videos, games, audiobooks, presentations, etc.

Great choice! I also suggest uploading your work at opengameart.org, where you'll get more attention.
