READ BEFORE POSTING

If you are a freelancer looking for commissioned work, this is not an appropriate place to ask.

This is a forum dedicated to Free software and open source development. If you do not know what this means, then please familiarise yourself with the terms - http://www.fsf.org is a good place to start.

You should only advertise your services here if you are prepared to work either voluntarily or in a capacity that is not in line with industry rates, and all your work be released under an appropriate permissive license e.g. public domain, BSD, GPL, CC (note the NC/ND clauses of CC licenses are frowned upon).

Any advertisements and "for hire" topics will likely be deleted without explanation if they do not follow the above guideline.

All other discussion related to art and asset development in an open development setting is, of course, on topic.

Why only copyleft? Permissive licenses are free and open source too! :bsd: :zero: :pd: :by: :mit: :zlib:

You should rewrite the text. You are sending mixed messages here, especially for newcomers who might get scared away.

In the first sentence you are clearly saying that asking for commissioned work is not appropriate, only to say in the next sentence that it is okay, but under certain conditions. What's true now? Please rewrite. I have the fear that people might get scared away, even if they are not opposed to the free software idea. Maybe the text should sound more welcoming in general, like that we welcome any contributions to the pool of free software, no matter if for $$$ or not. But it should also be clear that proprietary development is wrong here.
And the text also misses another crucial point: proprietary freeware. This of course is also not okay.

The emphasis should be on the freedom, not on the money.

Long story short, the text should basically say this:

- Free software development: okay
- Proprietary software development: not okay
- Asking for money is okay (But don't expect to GET RICH QUICK!!1! ;) )

Also, it would be super nice if you could directly place links to the definitions of free software and open source (instead of making the reader search):

https://opensource.org/definition
