Tips on skinning a huge amount of assets

I have over 50 3D models that need textures and 0 art skills to do it. Does anyone have any knowledge in dealing with a huge amount of artwork that could pass on some advice to me on what the best approach would be.

The files are in Ogre's xml format and I'll be working in blender 3d. The kind of advice I could use is a start to finish guide in the best way of skinning them. I don't need a how to use blender guide. More of "best way to paint the models", "How to make them look good", "What's the kind of workflow you go through when selecting a texture and painting it on a model".

There is 2 modes to paint textures
First you pain by hand every texture manually including details
Second you you use base textures that you blend betwen
So there is no easy solution
Hoverer you could do some tricks like baking especially
Like baking the AO in the model
Or make a procedural material in blender that you can bake giving you a base to start off and further detail

Andrew, I suggest you post a topic about Hardwar in the Showcase&Collaboration area (since you are looking for collaboration).

Or of course you could go and ask somewhere that is saturated with artists - like the blender forums.

I usually paint my textures by hand, but I think that's not the best method in your case, because it looks like you have to paint textures only for buildings. You could try projection painting. I tested it only a few times, but I think that would be a good method for you.

BTW do you have a new website for your project? I was following the discussion here on the old forum before it went to hell. ;)
