I send here a model with some animation I made in order to make a free football game
But I have not enough time to spend on this project.

If you do any more work on him Rudy, you should add another joint to the feet, as per this crude ascii illustration. This will allow for more realistic running motions where the pad/toes of the foot touch down first and leave the ground last.
