Summoned Monsters (OpenYGO)

Summoned Monsters (OpenYGO)

Hello.

After a long wait I decided to make a game based on the engine YGOPro. However, for this task I need (mostly) graphic designers. Of course, still it takes some time before the project opens at people (will be written basic assumptions and programs / scripts written), but now I prefer to look for graphic designers.

I estimate that the project in the final phase will have 1200 images, although of course some time it will last. The minimum version estimate these graphics to ~25.

If you have time and want to try, go ahead and write.

It sounds good. I was a player of Magic card game and there are a lot of open source alternatives to play. But I don't know open source alternatives for Yugioh.
And I have a Patreon in https://www.patreon.com/migueldedios.

Yep, but without graphers I cannot create this project (attractive for other people). I try to create sprites by myself ... but it's look not really nice

Its actually quite good for programmers art. Don't be too perfectionist, it can always be replaced later on.

I would recommend getting the game system working with placeholder art. If you can prove the game has promise artists may be willing to help. Before then it is a hard sell.

Some fresh news! xd

1) Now we have 9 cards (and 5 to do!) - It's still not enough to create playable demo, but it should be (I hope) before 2018.

2) If you want to support us with cryptocurrency, you can buy our coin (IntinteCoin) on EtherDelta (using Ethereum)

If you have question - go ahead!

That looks pretty good already! You are using lua with the löve framework?

If cards are one of your limitations, why not start with a set derived from Wtactics/arcmage? See:
http://aminduna.arcmage.org/#/cards

I understand that the above is more MTG like and not YGO, but it might make sense to make the basis a bit more rule-set agnostic.

Edit: Or maybe the graphics from this might do?: http://tinytactics.org/

I using YGOPro engine (i just create assets for this). You know - if you want to create (for example) Guitar Hero like project you don't need to write it from scratch, because some engines for that already exists.

I use lua + love2d framework to tools - like generate cards based on variables and sprites.
For now we will be doing our own graphics - we will see what will be in the future.
