A robotic drone-type machine intended for game or background use. The model is fully rigged, with IK controls and intuitive posing. It’s also fully textured, with a 1024×1024 bump/diffuse map set.

Note: Due to technical problems with file sizes, I’m unable to upload the full version with high-res textures. I’ll release that one once the problem is fixed.

Definitely requires modifications I'd say.

Some first stats:

V: 5738, F: 2249

I guess that high vertex amount is due to the sharp edges - but the polycount is ok.
Maybe I'll merge some for game-integration.

Well, it's a "gear" or "wanzer" but I don't see a problem with that because there a several japanese game series using similar designs,
besides it has some differences - but I'll double check that.

As for required modification:
I guess you are thinking about weapons??
Or style? With arms and such?

I'd see the opportunity to mount weapons but these arms don't seem to be able to get into weapon-wielding-pose without hitting the legs.
However this a great base model.

I've exported this model from blender to obj and then import into MisfitModel 3D.
Now the ratio is inversed (maybe messed up some smoothing groups?):

V: 2388, F:4216

And I did some quick mods (scale, rotate, move) to get the arms straight (added some "post-production" coloring in gimp):

...now it seems even more familiar...

What does it resemble to you?

I meant that the "wanzer" should be replaced with canons I'd say.

Nice robot, a bit fat maybe. ;)

That's 2249 quads not tris. The vertex count is more important anyway, and yes it's so high because of the sharp edges.

It looks exactly like some mechs from a well known IP though... just this time HeavyGear instead of Battletech ;)

Yes, it looks like a heavy gear...or like a Wanzer (Walking Panzer = Walking Tank) from FrontMission...or like some others. But I'd just say, similar. It'd make a good modding-base to build such wanzer-style robots.

@Skorpio: I've already thinned the legs but it still looks big.
