Music/3D platformer idea

The basic idea is simple. You play some bunny walking/dancing through levels, collecting various instruments and music tracks (mod patterns (from music trackers)).

Now, each instrument gives a special ability when in use (by a pattern currently playing). Better instruments of the same type result in a higher level of the special ability in question.

Patterns can be mixed, but not with each and every other pattern. Patterns allow instruments to be used and each pattern requires simple instruments.

Some patterns may require transition patterns in order to go from one pattern to the next.

One pattern grants you extra speed, while the other gives you extra jumping capability, firepower or immunity to something. However, all this could mean that you can't use the stealth or defense patterns (for example).
