I though I would start a Dev Log for my AGPL P2P Massively Single Player game.
Let me start by introducing my game.

How can we realistically achieve world peace? The good news is that it's simple and the bad news is that its hard. We have to talk and listen to people we disagree with. With the Power of Porn we can!

The end of Megan's antigay picketing career and life as she knew it was triggered in part by strangers on Twitter who showed me the power of engaging the other.

"...but then a conversation would ensue. And it was civil -- full of genuine curiosity on both sides. How had the other come to such outrageous conclusions about the world?"

"There was no confusion about our positions, but the line between friend and foe was becoming blurred."

The problem: "Even when someone does call for empathy and understanding for the other side, the conversation nearly always devolves into a debate about who deserves more empathy. And just as I learned to do, we routinely refuse to acknowledge the flaws in our positions or the merits in our opponent's. Compromise is anathema. We even target people on our own side when they dare to question the party line."

The solution: The good news is that it's simple, and the bad news is that it's hard. We have to talk and listen to people we disagree with. It's hard because we often can't fathom how the other side came to their positions. It's hard because of that sense of certainty that ours is the right side, is so seductive. It's hard because it means extending empathy and compassion to people who show us hostility and contempt. The impulse to respond in kind is so tempting, but that isn't who we want to be. When we engage people across ideological divides, asking questions helps us map the disconnect between our differing points of view. That required us to stay calm, People often lament that digital communication makes us less civil, but this is one advantage that online conversations have over in-person ones. We have a buffer of time and space between us and the people whose ideas we find so frustrating. We can use that buffer. Instead of lashing out, we can pause, breathe, change the subject or walk away, and then come back to it when we're ready.

How we will achieve it: By developing a P2P MMOIDE the allows players to create and play Interactive Narratives with realtime collaborative editing of both 3d models and code and Compendium like knowledge base.

Not just a global Concept Map the scale of Wikipedia to solve the Wicked Problem of people demonizing the 'other', but the gamafication to get people to learn to love using it.

That the pitch for my Crowdfunding campaign I was going to do before Covid-19 shut down the economy.

Right now I'm making a prototype in python to get the basic game mechanics down. I'm not using pygame though I my use Panda3D if I want to do a GUI.

So what will the actual game play be like? It will be you basic scheduling life sim where you choose how you will spend each hour of the day then each hour will play out like a level of Prom Week.

The prototype is going to be a monster Collecting game but in order to get a monster on your team you're going to have to form a intimate relationship with them. This is a serious game to teach relationship skills based on Imago Relationship Therapy and Research like Attachment Theory.
I'm think having it start with the standard get the girl dating sim to choose your starter monster then going into more maintaining a healthy relationship with your monsters which will be the main game loop.

I'm involved in a lot of "sleazy marketing and new age woo" type things, and if anything, online businesses of all types are not shutting down, they are ramping up. Think of all those bored people at home who can't go out to the bar/gym/sporting event with friends. It is the perfect time for a gaming kickstarter. Don't wait till people are back going to meetups and mass events.

Thanks for the advice.

There are basically two parts of my project. the Social simulation game and concept mapping/wiki to document them and their development.

My initial crowd funder idea was to develop the game the use that to build up the funding base to develop the P2P and concept maping ends.

But I found out about Mozilla's Fix-The-Internet incubator. and I though of working it from the P2P and Concept mapping end to get the funding to develop the game part.
I only need $3550 so I'm willing to spilt the 2500 per person stipend and only take $1050 from the $5000 prize or let my teammate take all $5000 of the stipend and take $4275 from the $5000 prize. If you get first or second place we will spilt the prize evenly. I'm still looking for a web developer for a teammate so if anyone knows/wants to learn gundb/Iris send me a message.

I updated my design doc with the sketch of the Concept mapping interface Image
