I was looking at the entries for the Indie Game Making Contest. It lists the engine used for the game. I don't know if they detect it or if it was on the screen and it just didn't matter to me. I did stumble on this.

Ah. Found the metadata section you mentioned. Added Tiled and SDL to my game. I suppose technically GIMP was also used but I don't think that is worth adding. It includes Tiled files whereas the png files can be edited with a variety of tools.
