What types of showcase threads are accepted?

I wanted to showcase my project in showcase section, It's just me one developer creating it. But as if it's not open source i can't/ should not post it?

Indeed, this is an open source game forum. Non-open-source games won't be approved.

Bugger, you could certainly gain more traffic by creating separate section for indie projects. As experience shows, those people will also check out other thread, in your case this community open source projects, everybody's a winner.
