Amazon can't make good games even with thier big budget

I think it is ironic how throwing more money at something like video game development does not necessarily make good games. It seems a big part of it was
1.) Poor engine choice
2.) lack of any ability to make a game fun, given their process.
I mean, we see this all over the place, how many games get started and then just die, not only in small indie teams, but also at much larger companies who apparently don't know what they are doing.
FOSS isn't immune to it either, although it has some advantages.
