Amazon can't make good games even with thier big budget

I think it is ironic how throwing more money at something like video game development does not necessarily make good games. It seems a big part of it was
1.) Poor engine choice
2.) lack of any ability to make a game fun, given their process.

I mean, we see this all over the place, how many games get started and then just die, not only in small indie teams, but also at much larger companies who apparently don't know what they are doing.
FOSS isn't immune to it either, although it has some advantages.

Nearly all AAA games do it by throwing money at the problem and it sort of works, as most gamers are not expecting much ;)

This sounds more like a serious ego problem in management.

The were making a game about killing indians-alikes and stealing their lands? whoa, talk about nasty concepts...

I am sure the person that came up with that game-play idea finds this description a gross misrepresentation on their perfectly well intended concept... that that is why it is good to check your ideas with some outsiders as you can be easily blindsided without even realizing it.
